Central Zone screening on Saturday

All players from the Central Zonal Council of the T&T Cricket Board, having been invited to attend screening sessions, for possible selection on the Central U15 team for the upcoming BGTT tournament.

According to secretary of the zone, Rambhai Patel, sessions will be held at the National Cricket Centre, Balmain, Couva on December 13 and 14 from 9 am -12 noon.

Interested players are requested at report to the coaches at 8.30 am at the Cricket Centre.

Regional U-17 launch takes place on Tuesday

The official launch of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board of Control U-17 Regional Development Tournament will take place on Tuesday at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, Couva, starting at 11 am.

General Secretary and CEO of the T&TCB, Forbes Persaud and 2nd Vice-President and Chairman of the Regional Matches Committee, Leo Doodnath are expected to address the launch.

Six territorial boards of the West Indies Cricket Board - T&T, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Leeward Islands and the Windward Islands will be taking part in the tournament, which bowls off on December 11, at three venues in T&T.

In the opening round, host country T&T will take on the Windwards at the Queen’s Park Oval, Jamaica and the Leewards will clash at Inshan Ali Park in Preysal, while Guyana and Barbados will square-off at Gilbert Park in California.

Matches will be of 50 overs per-side.
