Aguillera leads Windies World Cup team

Four players from T&T have been selected to be part of the West Indies team for next month’s Women’s World Cup in Australia.

The tournament will next place from March 2 -22.

T&T’s senior team captain Merissa Aguillera will lead the West Indies squad, with another T&T player Kirbyna Alexander as her vice-captain.

The other local players selected on the West Indies team are T&T Women’s Cricket Board of Control 208 ‘Cricketer of the Year’ Anisa Mohammed, and allrounder Stacy Ann-King.

The West Indies team is expected to depart from Barbados on February 22.

North Zone screening on tomorrow

The North Zonal Council of the T&T Cricket Board will undergo screening sessions, for U-17 and U-19 players in preparation for the up-coming BGTT age-group tournaments.

Screening will take place tomorrow at the Mucurapo Senior Comprehensive nets from 3 pm.
