Mohammed leads U-15s to Guyana

South-East wicketkeeper/opening batsman Chris Mohammed was named captain of the T&T Under-15 team, which will take part in the Clico-sponsored Regional U-15 tournament, organised by the West Indies Cricket Board from April 4-13 in Guyana.

The 14-member team was selected following two trial matches last weekend at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, Couva.

The trial teams were selected following the BG TT U-15 Series, which was won by East Zone.

Isiah Rajah, son of former T&T left-handed batsman Aneil Rajah was named vice-captain of the squad.

Also included in the side is talented allrounder Anthony Simmons, who is also the nephew of T&T and West Indies batsman, Lendl Simmons.

The team will be managed by Anil Kamal and coached by Baldath Bodoe.

T&T U-15 team: Chris Mohammed- captain (South -East), Isiah Rajah (vice-captain), Stefan Wharwood (East), Sheehan Byrne (North), Anthony Simmons (East), Adrien Daniel (Tobago), Stefan Seepersad (South-West), Kelon Lynch (Tobago), Brian Charles (Central), Jeremy Solozano (East), Adrian Cooper (South-East), Rajiv Maharaj (South), Stefan Gafoor (South), Nairon Motilal (South).

Reserves: Clinton Changer (East), Andy Gobin (Central).
