New Year message from the President

As we welcome in the New Year, I bring greetings from my family to each and every member of the cricketing fraternity.

Last year saw many changes for us as a board and this year we aspire to continue building on the years of foundation laid by prior administrators. Our senior national team will leave within days to begin their quest for regional supremacy and we wish them every success in this tournament. We also look forward to readying our other national teams for various competitions and wish them equal success.

To all other participants, be they umpires, scorers, water-boys or reserve player, I ask that you give of your best to ensure that this year’s cricket would become another successful cricket season. Go out and enjoy your game and be proud of your contribution.

Undoubtedly our sponsors and government support have been the mainstay of cricket’s survival and without them our development programs, so highly regarded, would not have been possible. They have pledged their continued support and we acknowledge and thank them for helping us in continuing to build a community spirit through cricket.

Finally on behalf of my fellow officers and board members, I wish you God’s blessing and a bright and prosperous 2010.
