TTCB – News ‘Haiti Relief’ cricket tickets going fast THE West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) yesterday expressed satisfaction with the response by public and corporate Trinidad and Tobago concerning the “Aid relief for Haiti” Twenty20 benefit match between Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana at the Queen’s Park Oval in St Clair on January 20. The match was organised by WIPA, Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) and Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) to provided much needed aid to Haiti after Tuesday’s devastating earthquake. All proceeds from the match will be given to an establish agency to assist the people of Haiti in their time of need. President and Chief Executive Officer of WIPA, Dinanath Ramnarine is confident that the match will be sold out and people would support the worthy cause by purchasing the $60 tickets. “The response has been overwhelming from everyone thus far, it just goes to show how much we as a people care and are affected by this catastrophe in Haiti” said Ramnarine in a press release yesterday. Limited tickets go on sale today at The Oval from 9 am to noon and on Monday and Tuesday from 8 am to 6 pm. Tickets will also be sold at three KFC Outlets on Monday and Tuesday; Valsayn, Chaguanas and Library Corner, San Fernando. Gates will be opened from 2 pm for the match. |
