Massahood team to beat in Penal
February 9, 2010

THE Massahood Youth Organisation (MYO) of Avocat will be defending their Under-19 title when the Penal Sports Association 2010 cricket season bowls off on February 21.

MYO finished the 2009 season unbeaten in their 11 matches and will be again the team to beat to claim the first prize. MYO retain the services of two players who were instrumental in winning the league last year.

Ijaz Ali, the most prolific wicket taker (32) as well as Vicky Oudit who scored the most runs (563) last year will be representing MYO again and few will be betting against them repeating as champions.

MYO received $5000 and the GPR Quality Electrical Challenge Shield while runner-up Rochard Road received $3,000. The losing semifinalists Sunrise and Valley Line were awarded $1,000 each.

Ten thousand in cash prizes will be at stake for the 2010 season and clubs wishing to participate can contact Leo Dudnath at 346-3636. Registration forms are available at Unique Books & Sports Centre.
