Women square off in Twenty20
February 25, 2010

TRINIDAD AND Tobago and the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) from London, England will square off in the opening game of their two-week long limited-overs series today.

At the Sir Frank Worrell Ground, University of the West Indies (UWI) St Augustine campus, both squads will oppose each other in a Twenty20 match from 6.30 pm.

This game, the first major encounter to be played under lights at the St Augustine venue, will feature the use of pink balls. In fact, the pink balls will be utilised for the three scheduled Twenty20 matches during this series— today, Sunday (from 9 am at the Queen’s Park Oval) and Thursday (at Shaw Park, Scarborough).

There are also four 50-overs-per-side fixtures during the series - tomorrow at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, March 3 at the Queen’s Park Oval, March 6 and 7 at Shaw Park.

The TT squad will be led by West Indies skipper Merissa Aguillera while the MCC outfit will be captained by ex-England player Bev Nicholson.
