Manohar Ramsaran, Administrative Manager of the T&T Cricket Board said that the BG T&T tournament will more than adequately prepare the next generation of national and regional cricketers for the upcoming West Indies Under-15 tournament which will be staged in Trinidad and Tobago. The former Government minister and Member of Parliament said on Tuesday that this year's competition will change its traditional one-day format to blood the youngsters in the longer form of the game. The 2011 series will be played over two days. The West Indies Under-15 tournament is likely to be staged between July 2 and 16 here in Trinidad and Tobago. Trinidad and Tobago are defending regional Under-15 championships and will be keen to retain the crown especially playing before their come crowds. Ramsaran highlighted the significant contribution BG T&T has been making in sponsoring the Under-15 tournament which he said ensures that the local players get the opportunity to fine-tune their skills and impress the national selectors. |
