May 13, 2011

THE TRINIDAD and Tobago Cricket (T&TCB) has announced that tickets will go on sale on Monday for the two One- Day Internationals and a T20 clash between  West Indies and India in June.

The matches will all be staged at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port-of-Spain.

The price of a ticket for the T20 International on June 4 is $250 while the ODIs on June 6 and 8 will cost $150 for each day.

Azim Bassarath, president of the T&TCB said on Friday that a special box office has been constructed at the National Cricket Centre at Balmain in Couva to ensure that cricket fans get a hassle -free experience when purchasing tickets for the matches.

He also disclosed that fans wishing to see recently crowned 2011 ICC World Cup champions India against an improving West Indies side will also get the opportunity to purchase packages comprising all three matches for a special price of $500 which represents a saving of $50.

However in an attempt to stymie scalpers , the T&TCB has will restrict ticket purchases to four per  person for each of the three matches

Bassarath said the box office at the T&TCB’s Administrative Headquarters will be open from 9 am to 4 pm each day and cash payments and cheques only will be accepted.

The T&TCB chief said the T20 fixture on June 4 will bowl off at 10 am and will be first match of a double-header at the Oval. The Trinidad and Tobago senior team , 2011 Caribbean T20 champions currently preparing for the 2011 Airtel Champions League tournament will clash with the T&TCB’s High Performance Centre in the other match match from 2 pm.
