Computer glitch delays local cricket fans
May 17, 2011
THE TRINIDAD and Tobago Cricket Board (T&TCB) has commended local
cricket fans for their patience and understanding after glitches in the
computer system caused delays when tickets officially went on sale on
Monday for the West Indies versus India T20 and One-Day Internationals
in June.
Hundreds of cricket lovers turned up at the two tickets centres at
the Queen’s Park Oval in Port-of-Spain and the National Cricket Centre
at Balmain in Couva and were required to wait as technicians sought to
correct the technological problems.
Patrick Rampersad, an executive member of the T&TCB apologized on
behalf of the organization and gave the assurance that the problems have
since been rectified as fans have since proceeded to secure their
tickets for the much anticipated matches slated for the Queen’s Park
Oval in Port-of-Spain.
Tickets for the T20 match is $250 while the ODIs will cost $150 each.
A package for the three matches is available for a reduced price of
$500. Rampersad said that children under the age of 12 will be admitted
free but they must secure a special ticket which is only available at
the Oval ticket office. |
