TTCB – News T&T Under-15s vs Guyana at Endeavour TRINIDAD and Tobago will open their defence of the regional Under-15 cricket title against Guyana on Saturday (July 02, 2011) at the Avidesh Samaroo Park in Endeavour, Chaguanas instead of the Inshan Ali Park in Preysal, Couva. It is one of two changes announced by the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (T&TCB) for the first round of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) sanctioned competition which has attracted teams from the six leading regional islands. The other match which has been moved because of the unsatisfactory nature of the ground is the clash between Jamaica and the Windward Islands which will now take place at Honeymoon Park in Tacarigua, It was originally carded for Monroe Road in Cunupia. President of the T&TCB Azim Bassarath said on Friday that quick action was needed to negate the adverse effects of the seasonal rains since every effort is being made to ensure that cricket is possible over the major part of the two days allocated for each match. Bassarath also revealed that the second round match featuring Leeward Islands and Guyana slated for Wilson Road in Penal on July 5 and 6 has also be shifted but the new venue is yet to be confirmed.
