Ganga leads T&T in Champions League

EXPERIENCED captain Daren Ganga will lead Trinidad and Tobago when they travel to India once again for the Champions League T20 competition which will be staged from September 19 to October 9.

Apart from Ganga, the 15-man squad announced by the T&T Cricket Board (T&TCB) on Thursday includes several players who participated in the inaugural Champions League T20 in 2009 when T&T went all the way to the final.

The strong line-up will be without their biggest stars however as Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard have opted to play for their IPL franchises namely the Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings respectively.

Trinidad and Tobago will have to contest a qualifying tournament with five other teams bidding for three spots in the main draw from September 19 to 21 in Hyderabad.

The T&T squad announced on Thursday is:
