El Dorado, ‘Pres’ in InterCol final

El Dorado Secondary Comprehensive School and Presentation College Chaguanas will meet in the PowerGen Secondary Schools Cricket League Intercol Final on Wednesday at Guaracara Park, Pointe-a-Pierre. This was revealed at a news conference held yesterday at the National Cricket Centre at Balmain, Couva.

For ’Pres’ this is the ninth time they have reached the final under lights. As for El Dorado it is their first outing.

The teams have played two finals for the year already with ‘El Do’ winning the Super Sixes and ‘Pres’ taking the league final.

Preceeding the Intecol final , San Fernando Secondary will meet Shiva Boys Hindu College for the Powergen SSCL Seniors Twenty/20 Title.

Bringing greetings from Powergen was the Operations Manager of Point Lisas Plant, Krishna Rampersad, while CEO and General Secretary of the T&T Cricket Board,the hard-working Forbes Persaud wished the team best of luck in the various finals.

President of the PowerGen SSCL William Wallace also brought greetings from his organisation.

The Twenty/20 final starts at 10:30 am while the Intercol is expected to bowl off at 4:30 pm. The Intercol Challenge Trophy is now called the Powergen Secondary Schools Cricket League Daren Ganga Intercol Challenge Trophy.
