BOARD & BGTT UNDER-17 FINAL Jawahir guides East to third Inter-Zone title Anthony Jawahir, stroked an elegant unbeaten 82 to guide East to the T&TCB and BGTT Under-17 title, when they defeated South by eight wickets in the final yesterday at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, Couva. The left-handed Hillview College’s batsman faced 133 balls and struck four fours as his team chasing a victory target of 157 reached their landmark for the loss of two wickets with eight overs to spare. Jawahir received good support from Adrian Geeban (33) and Vikash Mohan (30 not out). Earlier, South opted for first strike and were restricted to 156 for eight from the allotted 50 overs.
