TTCB – Results Allrounder Bachan pilots T’dad to win as Tobago season opens AN ALLROUND performance by Rishi Bachan enabled a Trinidad XI to secure a comfortable 50-run win over a Tobago XI yesterday at Shaw Park in Tobago to mark the opening of the Tobago Cricket Association 2010 season. Batting first the Trinidad XI were given a good start with an aggressive innings by opening batsmen Mario Belcon and William Perkins. They launched an early onslaught on the Tobago bowlers before Perkins was dismissed for 27 runs. Daron Cruickshank joined Belcon and continued the attack before perishing for 34. Belcon would topscore with 57 runs with wicketkeeper Gibran Mohammed scoring 48 runs and Bachan playing an invaluable knock of 22 runs as the Trinidad XI were dismissed for 230. Tobago started its run chase strongly with Lincoln Roberts smashing 52 runs. However, the introduction of Bachan into the attack saw the run chase falter. The PowerGen spinner took three for 29 with leg spinner Samuel Badree taking two for 33 as Tobago closed on 180 for nine in their allotted 40 overs.
