Eastern Credit Union Premiership Division

Merry Boys rout Wanderers for 59
January 31, 2010

CERAMIC MerryBoys captain Aneil Kanhai took six wickets yesterday which enabled his team to take first innings honours and take command of its round two match in the Eastern Credit Union Premiership Division at St Mary’s College Ground, Serpentine Road, St James.

Off-spinner Kanhai mesmerised the Wanderers batsmen with his variation and guile to finish with figures of six for 12. Kevon Christmas supported his captain, taking three for 13 as Wanderers were dismissed for 59. Etun Bhal was the only batsman to show any fight with a top score of 16 runs.

Wicketkeeper/batsman Samuel Felix then stroked 63 runs and was aided by Franklyn Rouse (20) and Clifton Halls (17) as Merry Boys were dismissed for 150 and a first innings lead 91 runs.
