Sookdeo stars in Don Miguel Super Sixes

SHANE SOOKDEO starred with bat and ball as Same Khaki Pants crushed Stable Boys by 42 runs in the Men’s Division of the Don Miguel Sports League Super Sixes Night Cricket competition at St George’s College Ground, Barataria.

Batting first, Same Khaki Pants posted an impressive 58 for two from the allotted six overs with Sookdeo top-scoring with 31 runs. Kestyon Daniel chipped in with 10.

Sookdeo returned to torment the Stable Boys this time with the ball, taking four wickets to wreck their reply. He finished with splendid figures of two wickets for four runs while Suresh Goomansingh was also unplayable taking two wickets for two runs as Stable Boys were dismissed for 16 runs in 2.3 overs.

In the Women’s Division, TT Ex-Nationals came out on top in a thriller versus Desert United, taking the win by three wickets with two balls to spare. Desert United was boosted by Judy Forde’s knock of 17 not out to finish with 52 for four.

The TT Ex-Nationals gave a solid reply to the total with Kathleen Jacob leading the way with an unbeaten 16 as they closed on 53 for two in 5.4 overs.
