Petrotrin batsman hits 108 in south Twenty20

THE Parkway Pharmacy Saturday Twenty/20 League started last Saturday and  the first match was witnessed by the sponsor of the League Dave Singh Manager of Parkway Pharmacy.

Singh spoke to both teams before the fixture — Petrotrin Penal and Star Wars Sports of Iere Village, Princes Town.

He reminded them of the need for discipline in sports and by extension the wider society. The businessman also praised the Southern Sports Committee for a well-organised cricket competition in the southland.

Singh then bowled the first ball to signal the start of the Parkway Pharmacy Saturday Twenty/20 League 2010 . The opposing batsman was Shane Mungroo of Petrotrin Sports of Penal who made a hundred in the opening match scoring 108.
