De Gazon hits 114 in schools cricket

GREGORY DE GAZON hit the first century in the North zone of the Secondary Schools Cricket League against St Anthony’s.

The Tranquillity batsman rattled up an unbeaten 114 in his team’s 213 for one wicket.

Apart from De Gazon’s knock, Nicholas Boodoo scored 47 and Vilton Felix was on 22 not out.

Then the Tranquillity bowlers restricted St Anthony’s to 122 for six wickets for a 91- run victory.

Foe Ast Anthony’s, Ameer Jangoo scored 26 and Winston Joyeau had 17 not out.

Jason Hunte hit a fluent unbeaten 56 for St Mary’s to cruise to an six wicket victory over St Anthony’s in the Under-14 bracket.

But Success Laventille scored a thrilling one-wicket victory over Fatima in the same division.

After being bowled out for 118 runs, Success Laventille scraped to 119 for nine wickets.

Success Laventille won by one run.

St Anthony’s 93 - Ameer Jangoo 40 not out, David Inniss 21, Randy Cattermolle 3/14 vs T MARY’S 94/4 - Jason Hunte 56 not out, David Inniss 2/11, Ameer Jangoo 2/14.

St Mary’s won by six wickets.
