March 22, 2010

DASHING allrounder, Yannic Cariah scored a century and claimed two wickets yesterday to put North East in a strong position against South East in the BG TT Inter Zone Under-19 match at Squadron Ground in Arouca.

West Indies Under-19 allrounder, Cariah smashed 121 which included several spectacular sweep shots and cover-drives against the South East spin attack. He enabled North East to close on 219 with Kendon Sutton chipping in with 25 runs. Kerwyn Surju took five for 45 and national under-19 spinner, Vikash Rampersad took three for 50.
