Cooper blasts 117 in South East to win League
March 22, 2010

THERE were wins for South, East, South East and Central in the BG TT Inter Zone Under-17 tournament which bowled off yesterday.

In Group “A” South crushed South by nine wickets while East completed an easy four wicket win over North. South East overpowered North East by 76 runs in Group “B” while Central crushed Tobago by 103 runs.

Adrian Cooper blasted a century for South East to lead them to a formidable total of 284 from 46 overs. Cooper was in dominant form punishing the bowlers in his knock of 117.

There were also useful contributions by Chris Mohammed (32) and Jerron Joseph (28). North East made a decent run chase with Curtley Francis scoring 46.

However, his dismissal saw North East being dismissed for 208. Kevon James was the main destroyer taking three for 30.
